About the Councils

The Leadership Councils of Florida are designed to provide employees of member credit unions in Florida the opportunity to network with their peers across the state, discuss issues concerning their professions, share best practices, and hear from experts in the industry and in their profession. Currently there are four councils open for membership. Membership is open to any employee of an affiliated Florida credit union or Credit Union Service Organization.

The mission of the Leadership Councils of Florida is to provide ongoing education and networking opportunities in a comfortable environment to credit union professionals.

The Leadership Councils of Florida are guided by Advisory Committees composed of credit union professionals in the respective disciplines. The members of the Advisory Committee are responsible for providing suggestions for appropriate topics and speakers as well as giving suggestions for improvement to Council Liaisons.

The Florida Credit Union League and FCUL Service Group provide employees to act as liaisons for each council. Council liaisons coordinate the Advisory Committees for each council, develop agendas based upon suggestions by the committees, host the meetings and encourage meeting participation.
