Executive Team Development

A highly functioning strategic management team is critical to the ongoing success of an organization. The ultimate goal of this program is to build upon the existing relationships among the members of a team by identifying strong points and challenges. This is accomplished through the use of individual assessment, group interaction and education. The end result is a team that has developed an increased awareness and understanding of team dynamics and the role each plays in the success of the credit union, as well as an action plan that outlines steps to achieve maximum team potential.

The process includes:

Team Assessment. Team members begin by assessing the group’s strengths and challenges by using our web-based team inventory tool. This survey provides a baseline for the team’s development and drives the content of the team development program. Additionally, one-on-one confidential interviews are conducted with each team member to better understand the dynamics of the team.

Group Session I. Team members participate in a workshop where they are provided with the results of the team assessment and introduced to the characteristics of highly functioning management teams. This is an interactive workshop designed to generate sharing and discussion among the team members.

Behavior Profile. Team members will take a web-based behavior profile assessment that identifies the preferred behaviors of each team member. One-on-one confidential feedback will be provided by our consultants.

Group Session II.
The team will have the opportunity to experience their strengths and challenges first-hand with interactive exercises designed to illuminate the dynamics of the team. Follow-up discussions will highlight the behavior preferences of the team members and how to use these differences to the team’s advantage.

Follow-Up.
The team survey is administered at three and six months after the original session. This provides the group with a progress report and the opportunity to continue on its path of maximizing the team’s effectiveness.
